Thanks to everyone for helping in the search for my bother Dave. Thankfully he was found safe and well (at least until our mother gets her hands on him). A special corner has been created at Liam Potts’ favourite pub so he will never be forgotten.
Lance Corporal Liam Pott, 22, was a regular at the West Tavern in Prudhoe before his tragic death.
The Coldstream Guards soldier was reported missing on August 15 following a night out with friends. His body was found in the River Tyne near Wylam Bridge three days later.
Now his dad, Paul, has asked the pub to display a Newcastle United shirt signed by Liam’s family and friends.
