Hi Simon, iPhones are the hardest to get sorted. If you come to the site from Facebook it might also cause issues.
search beacon alert on google/safari - click on any of the website links, then click share. Under share you will have an option to add to home page. You may have to scroll down the options a bit. Once the app is installed it will prompt you for notifications. Hope that helps.
