These short terms set the basic agreement for using Beacon as a constructive UK Armed Forces community.

Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and give us information you are entitled to use. You are responsible for activity from your account.
Public conversations
Beacon is a public network. Profiles, posts, replies, reactions and reposts may be seen or shared outside Beacon. Use the Op-sec display-name option and avoid publishing sensitive personal or operational information.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you post. You give Beacon the limited, non-exclusive permission needed to host, process, display and share it through the service. This permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from reasonable backup, legal and already-shared copies.
Community conduct
Follow the Community Guidelines. Do not use Beacon to harm, threaten, deceive, harass or break the law. Only post content you have the right to share.
Moderation
Beacon may remove content, limit posting or take other proportionate action to protect members and the service. Reports are reviewed discreetly, but we cannot promise a particular outcome.
Beacon Alerts
Beacon is not an emergency service. Call 999 if someone is in immediate danger and contact the police before creating or acting on a missing-person alert. Do not obstruct an official investigation.
Keeping Beacon available
We work to keep Beacon useful and secure, but the service may occasionally change or be unavailable. We will explain important changes and ask you to review them when appropriate.
We use analytics
When you are signed in, Beacon uses Google Analytics to understand how members use the service and where it needs improvement. This may use first-party analytics cookies and collect broad device, browser, approximate-location and usage information. Beacon disables advertising signals and does not send Google your internal account ID, email address or call sign as an Analytics user ID. See the Privacy Notice for more detail.
